Jim has been an electrician for over 40 years. He first began his career at Western Electric/Bell Labs in the early 60’s working with silicon wafer and solid state technology and later moved on to high voltage grid tied parallel power production with AT&T Microelectronics.
After retiring from AT&T he founded Certified Electric, LLC / DBA Solar Power Electric and enjoys helping home and business owners reduce their monthly electric utility bills.
Jim currently resides in a grid tied solar electric powered home.
He has attended over 126 hours of specialized solar electric design and installation training including the Florida Solar Energy Center (FSEC) “Installing PV” Class.
Jim enjoys spending his weekend watching NASCAR driver #48 Jimmie Johnson race around in circles.
He is also a member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors
